The newly remodeled Minidoka Memorial Hospital is designed as a healing environment with a personal, intimate feel. Harmony and balance is achieved using materials such as wood and stone combined with natural-looking manufactured materials contrasted with a variety of textures and finishes to invoke a sensory as well as an emotional experience. A repetition of calm, muted colors and finishes are specified to emphasize beauty, tranquility and serenity the environment offers. Horizontal lines combined with organic forms are used throughout to resemble nature. This hospital is designed to create an environment that facilitates healing for the patients and a calm and peaceful workplace for its employees.
